Terms of Service

BridleNav is a GPS navigation app designed specifically for horse riders. By downloading and using BridleNav you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About BridleNav

The app is provided by BridleNav Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17461028) whose registered office is Acorn Business Park, 7 Commercial Gate, Mansfield, NG18 1EX. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean BridleNav Limited.

2. Navigation disclaimer

BridleNav is a navigation aid only. Routes, directions and mapping data are provided for guidance purposes and may not always be accurate, up to date or suitable for your horse and riding ability.

It is your responsibility as a rider to:

• Assess whether a route is suitable for you and your horse
• Obey all road traffic laws and bridleway regulations
• Wear appropriate safety equipment at all times
• Make your own judgement in all riding situations

We accept no liability for any accidents, injuries, losses or damages arising from use of the app or its routes.

3. Emergency SOS

BridleNav includes an emergency SOS feature that sends your location and a map link to a pre-saved emergency contact and provides the option to call 999.

This feature is a supplementary safety tool only. It requires a working mobile data or internet connection to send location messages. BridleNav cannot guarantee delivery of emergency messages and is not a substitute for calling 999 directly.

Always tell someone where you are riding and when you expect to return. Do not rely solely on BridleNav SOS in an emergency.

4. Your account

You can browse routes without an account, but you need one to subscribe. Accounts are created with your email address, and you sign in using a six-digit code sent to that address. BridleNav is for riders aged 13 and over, and we ask you to confirm this when you create an account.

You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for any activity carried out through your BridleNav account.

You can delete your account at any time from within the app, in Settings. Deleting your account removes your account record and profile from our systems.

5. Subscription and payments

BridleNav is available on a subscription basis. Subscriptions are managed through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s app store settings
• Refunds are subject to the relevant app store’s refund policy
• Prices may change with reasonable notice

6. Intellectual property

All content within BridleNav — including route data, parking information, descriptions, photography, the BridleNav name and logo — is owned by, or licensed to, BridleNav Limited and Charlotte Lowe.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from any BridleNav content without written permission.

7. Privacy and data

Our privacy policy explains in full what we collect and why. In summary:

• Your emergency contact details are stored locally on your device
• If you create an account, we store your email address, any display name you choose and your marketing preference
• Location data is used to provide navigation and emergency SOS functionality
• Subscription and payment data is handled by RevenueCat and the relevant app store

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers we use to run the app.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to use BridleNav for lawful purposes only. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the app
• Use the app in a way that could endanger yourself or others
• Share your subscription access with others
• Use the app while driving a motor vehicle

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of BridleNav after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes within the app.

10. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
